Auschwitz Birkenau Tour reveals on of the best-known concentration camps in the world; it is a place where approximately 1.5 million people were killed during WWII by Nazi Germany. Auschwitz Birkenau was established in the suburbs of the city of Oswiecim (Auschwitz in German),. Auschwitz and Birkenau, the two camps were liberated in January 1945. After the War, Polish government decided to restore Auschwitz – Birkenau and turn it into a museum honouring the victims of Nazism. Now it is part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The museum was founded in 1947, combining the area of KL Auschwitz(Auschwitz I) in Oświęcim and the Birkenau camp(Auschwitz II) in Brzezinka; it have been preserved approximately 150 buildings and 300 ruins,The original roads, fences, watchtowers and railway ramps. The buildings house the collection of original exhibits and documents.
The ”Wieliczka” Salt Mine had been functioning for many centuries and ended its activities in 2007. It is currently listed as a world cultural and natural heritage site by UNESCO and is visited by over one million visitors a year. It will be our pleasure to show you this magnificent place. Cover a three-kilometer distance of salt corridors, 135 meters deep underground (442ft).
